6 New Betta Species from the freshwaters of Borneo Described

I've just run across this Article about 6 new Betta Species being named for the very first time. It's interesting how some animal species ( and particularly the bettas here ) are not described straight away when they're discovered.

If you're anything like me, I'm sure you've got your own names for your beloved bettas. However, it's always interesting to learn the scientific ones...check it out.

This is REALLY cool. I'm so glad you posted it. I wonder if there is anything on the Betta Species Maintenence Program website about it.
