This may be a simple case of "SWIM BLADDER DISORDER". A rather common betta problem that may be caused by overfeeding your betta.
Your Betta will likely recover on its own if you stop over feeding it. For the time being cut back on your feedings and see if the swollen area reduces.
Betta's with Swim Bladder Disorder are not contagious. Just cut back on the feeding for a while and the swollen belly should go away on it's own. If not, the culprit may be something other then Swim Bladder Disorder.

at my job we have 3 male and one female betta fish. the female is fairly new. today i noticed she turned almost completely white (she was dark/navy blue) and she looks like she swallowed a marble. i feed the fish and she didn't touch her food considerinf she didn't eat yesterday. is something wrong or should i get ready to be a grand fish)

first I'd like to say that its great to hear that your work has betta's at the office.
secondly, I have to ask, are all your betta's in the same tank? It's pretty risky to have 3 males in the same tank.
As for the female, from what I can gather from your post, it could be many things. 1. because she's new and being introduced to a new environment and likely new food. 2. She's surrounded by 3 males.
However, I'm sure you want some kind of answer so here's my input on it:
Turning white and not eating are usually 2 clear signs of sickness or distress. From your info, I'd have to say she's probably constipated. Sounds funny for a fish right? It's actually quite common.
